Thanks Brian for a great article, you hit the nail on the head. Most marketers make the mistake of not optimizing their mobile page to fit on mobile phones let alone use a use a reputable service that makes is easy. Many companies are making wave for mobile marking division in their corporate offices because of the huge revenue stream it can generate.

I’ve been a proponent of the “no java, no flash” for a long time. They depend on having the right versions installed, and the “right” browsers, as well. You want your page to look the same on as many platforms, and browsers, as possible. It also has to load quickly, and not take forever. I’ve heard that you have 3.2 seconds to catch and keep the viewers interest. Load time comes directly out of that 3.2 seconds.

Yes good stuff!
I try not to put java or flash into any of my sites (although it looks good) it can bog down load times on certain computers and flash doesn’t work on the iPhone or iPad.

Good stuff – There really are a lot of platforms that use this mobile technology.
And with everything integrating together all the time if you own a website and want to make sales you will need to succumb to mobile crawlers and optimize your site for such a purpose . One thing i did not know -No java and no flash for mobile , so thank you for that tip
