Great point, Mike.

A new Mastermind Group member of my local GKIC Chicago & Northwest Suburbs chapter recently used a version of Bill Glazer's handwritten salesletter as his first attempt at "our kind of marketing." He got excellent results ($4500 invested, $150K+ in revenue) sending it to his customer list, and then wanted to send it to a rented list of cold prospects.

I and the other Mastermind Group members convinced him not to, most likely saving him time, money and frustration. But if you had only written this blog post about a month ago, it would have made our job so much easier!

Thanks, Mike, on behalf of all future business owners who you just saved from thinking that GKIC-style marketing doesn't work. "It" works -- it just may not work the way you're attempting to use it...

Yes I totally agree a hand written sales letter will work better for existing clientele...whereas a non handwritten, typed font will work better for new clients.

Excellent post, Mike. I was just meeting with a local business owner who wants to keep more patients. Hope all is well in Philadelphia. I lost all my front teeth there several years ago.
